Now is the time to start opening all the doors and windows and letting all those fresh, new, green things in and letting all the old, dark, sluggish things OUT!
Pull out the juicer and the blender! Its green medicine time!
Chewing the Fat, NOT :)
Try avoiding cream, butter and cheese for the month of September...it will assist your liver enormously. I am doing this myself and its not as hard as I thought it would be!
I LOVE cream, butter and cheese, but they are off my menu for Sept!
Ive been using cashew cream instead; on toast, on my Quinoa Porridge (recipe below), on desserts...
Cashew Nut Cream
In a blender;
1 cup of raw cashews
Cover with fresh squeezed orange juice.
Blend until the consistency of thick cream.
YUM!!!
Lemon or Lime Water
Juice one lemon or lime and add 1 litre of water. Sip throughout the day.
The simplest way to hydrate and detox!
Healing Organic Celery Juice
Rip the leaves off one whole bunch of organic celery and cut off the base.
Rinse stalks if necessary.
Juice half the bunch and save the other half for the next day.
This should make a 1 large 450ml glass of juice.
Perfect tonic for your liver and lymphatic system!
Sip first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach for best results. Yep! before your morning coffee or tea! Wait 15 mins before you eat or drink.
Give it a go! You just might LOVE it!
If you can't face the taste of celery on its own, mix it with cucumber or fresh apple juice.
Drink once a day for one week...
Cucumber Hydration Tonic
Try juicing 2 large organic cucumbers - nothing is more hydrating and rejuvenating and delicious!
Drink one large glass per day for a week.
